I have been making films and composing music since I was 8 years old. I fell in love with filmmaking when my parents gave me a cine camera and editor. I think they thought I would go out and film random things like the cat, my foot or my sister telling me to stop filming her. But, instead, I tried to theme my films to tell a story.
Before I was 9 years old, I had won my first national competition.
With my parents being motoring journalists, I was expected to follow in their footsteps. My Mother, being the first female professional motoring press photographer, taught me to love looking through the lens and framing a picture.
My Father, an award-winning technical writer and journalist, taught me engineering, car mechanics and how to write. So, I trained as a master mechanic and worked with my parents. I had a lot of my work published but my heart just wasn’t in it.
After a lot of soul searching, I became a computer engineer but filmmaking was still close to my heart, and I have worked for some of the biggest companies in the world.
Now I'm a carer for my disabled wife but I still find time for film making.
I have made a few things for Amazon Prime, I am on the books of the Discovery Channel and I have a YouTube channel with over 2000 subscribers.
